This is terrible news, especially in light of other recent mill closings across the state. I'm heartbroken for these workers and their families, and will do everything I can to make sure they have the resources they need to get through this difficult time. While a number of factors have contributed to the decline of Maine's papermaking industry and the loss of jobs over the years, I believe federal trade policies have certainly played a role.
