According to reports, Republicans plan to put that proposal up for a vote in the House next month. "This is an outrageous and offensive proposal that would have a devastating impact on million of Americans. Too many people are still struggling to make ends meet in this economy and for many of them SNAP benefits are the only way they can put food on the table every day. The Republicans already tried to cut $20 billion in benefits for hungry Americans and that couldn'tpass the House. It's disappointing that they seem to think the only way to pass a SNAP bill is to double down on slashing benefits."
