While I am pleased Secretary Zinke has said he’ll recommend that Katahdin Woods & Waters Monument stay intact, I would like the opportunity to read his full report and ensure Maine’s monument is safeguarded from the attacks Bears Ears and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments have suffered. “Katahdin Woods and Waters Monument has spurred much-needed economic growth in the North Woods region and drawn thousands of new visitors to our state.
