His submission Windition allows users of the app to post up-to-date weather conditions for winter sports. Year after year, the apps Maine students develop are technically impressive, innovative, and solve problems that Americans face in their everyday lives,said Pingree.Aidan Blum Levine's submission show's he really understands Mainers needsan app that helps them track the areas best for winter exploration. Congratulations to him and my thanks to everyone who participated. In Levine'ssubmission, he cited his own interest in winter sports as part of the inspiration for creating his app. The app will allow users to post conditions for sports like skiing and sledding so others can have real-time conditions of the locations without having to go all the way there and see it themselves. The app has many Maine locations already built in, but new locations can be easily suggested by users after they create an account. Levine's app also has a map to find new locations for winter sports. TheCongressional App Challengeis a nationwide competition. Members of Congress must choose to participate for students in their District to be eligible. Winning apps from each District will be displayed and recognized at an event in Washington, D.C. this spring.
