Plaskett released the following statement: “The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for the U.S. Virgin Islands in addition to much of the eastern Caribbean. The advisory means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours. I urge each of us to heed all warnings and take every precaution necessary to prepare for the impending storm.
