Last month, after engaging those most impacted by our criminal INjustice system, I introduced H. Res. 702, The People's Justice Guarantee - a bold, progressive vision for a criminal legal system that centers the humanity of all people. I'm proud to announce that this Sunday in Dorchester, we will be hosting anEquity Agenda event on the People's Justice Guarantee, and I want to personally invite you to attend. The lived experiences of all people, especially those most impacted by the war on drugs and mass incarceration, is critical in the creation of a truly just society. Our Equity Agenda events are anchored in communities in the Massachusetts 7th and provide a safe space for us to develop intersectional, enduring solutions together. In partnership, we answer the question: In a world with no barriers, what does equity in the Massachusetts 7th look and feel like? The People's Justice Guarantee calls for a People's Process to create a legal system that makes good on the promise of justice for all, and this workshop will be an opportunity for us to put that process into action. The event venue is wheelchair accessible, language interpretation will be provided, and there will be childcare services and food available.
