Tom Reed is proud to announce a $2,003,232 grant for the Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties Head Start. The funds were provided through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Head Start programs are programs that promote school readiness for children from age birth to five. The programs help support low-income families through whole-child focused development. We care about making sure our children are ready for school and given all the opportunities they need to thrive, said Rep. Tom Reed. This grant funding will benefit not only the children in the programs, but will also benefit their families by providing a safe and educational environment. This grant award reaffirms our agency's commitment to high quality programming for low income children, said Ira Katzenstein, Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties Project Head Start executive director and CEO. We're really proud of our work with our health institutes impacting the lives of children, families and staff. Also, thank you for all the continued support of our many community partners.
