Included in this investment was a $9,703,000 loan to the Buggs Island Telephone Cooperative in Mecklenburg County to provide high speed internet. "Iam happy to seethe USDA's investment in improving broadband services and am excited to see the inclusion of Buggs Island in Mecklenburg,"said Congressman Riggleman."Expanding broadband access in rural areas has been a priority of my time in Congress and this expansion will help grow the economy and improve the quality of life for my constituents." Providing increased access to rural broadband has been and will continue to be one of Congressman Riggleman's top priorities in Congress. Thisinvestmentwill be used toconstruct the infrastructure necessary to bring high-speed internet to homes and communities in ruralareas.
