The Nelson County Board of Supervisors will be voting on Tuesday on a resolution declaring that Nelson County support the Constitution and stand against infringements on the Second Amendment. "I urge the Board of Supervisors to support this resolution- the Second Amendment is a Constitutional Right for all Americans that should not be infringed," said Congressman Riggleman."I stand with all those who are exercising their First Amendment right to free speech on this important issue." Congressman Riggleman is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and supports the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement.At this timeclose to half, of the counties in the 5thDistrict have passed resolutions protecting the Second Amendment.Nelson County's Board of Supervisorswill vote tomorrow, December 10th, on the resolution. Today I have a special message for my home county, Nelson County. The Board of Supervisors will consider a resolution declaring that Nelson County support the Constitution and stand against infringements on the Second Amendment, a so-called Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution. This movement has spread across the 5th district, where almost half of the counties already have passed such a resolution. Virginia has a long history of standing up for the Constitution and protecting our Constitutional rights. By speaking out as concerned citizens, Virginians can make their voices heard again and ensure their second amendment rights will be protected. James Madison, who was the first representative in Congress for this district, knew the importance of the Second amendment.
