Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) announced today that the Jersey Community Hospital District received a $250,727 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.This Rural Development investment will enable the Jersey Community Hospital District to purchase and install telemedicine equipment to improve medical services in Jersey and Greene counties."One of the most cost-effective ways we can increase access to care in rural communities is through telemedicine services. These funds will allow JCH Healthcare to expand their specialist services and better serve residents. I'm proud to support grants like these that benefit our rural communities,"said Davis. "We are grateful for the on-going support of the USDA and our congressman to increase access to healthcare in our rural area. This particular grant will enable virtual specialists consultations in our ICU, provide remote connectivity for our ambulances in the field with cardiologists in the hospital, as well as connect imaging equipment in northern Greene County to specialists in the hospital.
