The Administration’s move to downsize Gold Butte National Monument is a direct attack on the Antiquities Act, and I will continue to fight this reckless decision.” BACKGROUND: This summer, Congresswoman Rosen introduced an amendment to the Interior appropriations bill to prevent the downsizing of Gold Butte, which Republicans blocked from floor consideration. In July, the Congresswoman sent a letter to Secretary Zinke urging him to reconsider any decision to take the legally dubious step of shrinking Gold Butte and Basin and Range. Full text of the amendment can be found here and text of the letter can be found here. ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
