House Republicans put forward a bill to continue these programs with misguided cuts and funding mechanisms I do not support, and they refused to accept a motion I supported to remove this bill's controversial and harmful provisions." “I recognize the serious flaws in this bill, but I could not in good conscience vote against renewing a program that tens of thousands of Nevada children depend on for access to health care, or against critical funding for Nevada’s community health centers. I was elected to solve problems, and ultimately I decided to vote for this bill so that we can keep our children healthy and protect the most vulnerable members of our communities. Republicans in Congress must stop playing political games with health care, and I urge my colleagues in the Senate to right this wrong and fix this legislation.” ### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
