Representative Roskam (R-IL) coauthored similar language with Representative Lamborn (R-CO) that was adopted to the House version of the NDAA. The NDAA strengthens and helps rebuild our nation’s military in a time of growing geopolitical instability and complex national security challenges and increases our ability to guarantee the men and women serving in our armed forces are able to defend the U.S. against every threat we face. Regarding the signing of the NDAA, Rep. Roskam released the following statement: “Those planning to sell aircraft to the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism should strongly reconsider. Beyond the photographic evidence of Iran Air transporting jihadists, Congress will now receive an annual government report on Iran’s use of commercial jets to ship troops and weapons to Syria.
