Sauro. According to initial reports, Mr. Sauro died on October 19, 2016 in Kabul Province, Afghanistan due to injuries sustained from small arms fire. Mr. Sauro worked with the Defense Ammunition Center and was scheduled to return home in March 2017. He previously deployed in 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and from October 2012 to January 2013 during Operation Enduring Freedom. His parents currently reside in Vandergrift, PA. “With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Mr. Michael G.
