Monday evening, Congressman Russell (OK-5) appeared on The Tipping Point with Liz Wheeler on One Americas News Network. Congressman Russell issued a wakeup call to America, because we are at war with Wahhabist, Jihadist Islam. On the Presidents plan to combat ISIS: We must stop these acts of barbarity, and what we need to hear from the President is not what he is not going to do, and what this not is, what we need to hear is what he is going to do. And, Ive got some suggestions. Here is a couple: Raqqa, the city where its the center of gravity where these attacks were planned, we need to drop leaflets and tell them they have 96 hours and we need after that time we need to hit every electrical power grid station. Drop every bridge in the area. Hit their water supply. Hit their, what they need for daily living, ingress and egress routes. We dont level the city, but we make it untenable. We hit every cell tower that promotes their cell phone coverage or internet. We knock those things out. We can do that right now. But instead, we hear the President talking about his strategy has not changed. Well, we are going to continue to see this type of violence, and it is going to land on our own shores, because of these policies. To those who say we should have never gone into Iraq to begin with: That is like saying we abandon the criminal neighborhood that crime will improve. What an absurd notion. People say we should have never gone into Iraq, well here is a wakeup call, we should never have abandoned it. We turned it around. As veterans we turned it around. We had a stable government with free elections, we had a force there that was a stabilizing force. Because of a status of forces agreement and no diplomatic or economic pressure by the President he abandoned Iraq, and now for the want of a few thousand American troops that could have prevented the nascent attacks that ISIS was doing, it has grown into an abscess it has grown into a festering sore all of the Middle East. On what the media can do: Quit promoting and showing ISIS propaganda video. Quit using it for b-roll, quit putting it the background. You want to have a picture of ISIS up there? Then show them under the crosshairs of our jets or under our bombs Why are we promoting through our free speech, our free press, our lawful system and allow them to abuse it so they can kill innocent men, women and children dining at cafes or watching a concert. We need to wake up. Congressman Russell also addressed his latest Waste Watch. Watch the entire interview here.
