Congressman Schweikert offered street tacos as a concession if the Diamondbacks lose, while Congressman Williams wagered Texas barbecue if the Rangers are defeated. As a bonus, Congressman Schweikert also threw in Scorpion lollipops if the Diamondbacks somehow fail to clinch the World Series. The Diamondbacks and the Rangers face off tonight in Game 1 of the World Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The last time the Diamondbacks made the World Series was in 2001, when they won the best-of-seven playoff over the New York Yankees. “With the D-backs on a roll, this friendly wager seemed like a no-brainer,” said Congressman Schweikert. “I feel confident I’ll be enjoying some delicious Texas barbecue after the Snakes come out on top when it’s all said and done.
