The GAO’s report follows the release of a report by the Pentagon’s Inspector General which found that the process for selecting Huntsville was reasonable and complied with the law. “The GAO report to Congress confirms that Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama is the best place for the U.S. Space Command headquarters. From the very beginning, I have stood by the Air Force’s decision to locate U.S. Space Command in the Rocket City.
