Richardson to serve as U.S. Marshal for the Middle District of Alabama!” said Rep. Sewell. “Colonel Richardson is a man of great integrity and valor. With nearly 40 years of law enforcement experience in Alabama, he has a proven track record of upholding the public trust. I urge my Senate colleagues to confirm Colonel Richardson swiftly and without delay!” Colonel John E. Richardson has been Executive Assistant to the President of Alabama State University since 2017. He was previously Director of Public Safety and Colonel in the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, Col. Richardson served in the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Enforcement Division from 1988 to 2014, rising from the rank of Agent to Captain and Assistant Director of the Enforcement Division.
