This is outstanding news forconstituentsof Alabama's 7th CongressionalDistrict. Airports are economic engines in our communities which promote job creation and greater economic growth for the state of Alabama,saidCongresswoman Terri A.Sewell(D-AL). Infrastructure investments like these projects play a vital role, not only in our economic successbut in the overall viability of our communities. Information on the FAA grants: The City of Birmingham received $1,375,000 toupgradefive airport-owned gas and diesel-powered vehicles.The City of Camden was awarded $156,298 in order torepair 4,303 feet of runway. The City of Montgomery was awarded$1,404,035for environmental and structural repairs. The City of Selma was awarded $88,245 torehabilitate 2,800 feet of the existing taxiway. ### Rep. Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) is serving her fourth term representing Alabama's 7th Congressional district. She sits on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and was recently appointed to the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Sewell is a Chief Deputy Whip and serves on the prestigious Steering and Policy Committee of the Democratic Caucus.
