The government spending bills that were just signed into law includes the landmark Menendez/Rubio VERDAD Act, vital provisions to address the crisis in Venezuela and to aid the resistance to Maduro's illegitimate band of thugs. I am proud of having introduced the Venezuela Arms Restriction Act, which bans the export of defense and crowd control materials to the Maduro regime's forces, that was included in the VERDAD Act. This and other provisions aiding the Venezuelan patriots was the direct result of tireless, bipartisan efforts by Reps. Diaz-Balart, Mucarsel-Powell, and Wasserman-Schultz to help secure peace, prosperity, and the return of democracy to Venezuela.
