The partnership comes after Shea-Porter recommended the VA consider expanding its public/private model to the Seacoast and North Country regions, so that more New Hampshire veterans can receive VA care close to home. The VA launched its first such New Hampshire partnership, with Manchester’s Catholic Medical Center, in August. Through the new partnership, VA Manchester patients can schedule GI procedures performed by their VAMC provider at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Appointments, care, and billing for Manchester VA at Frisbie are being handled through VA Manchester Medical Center.
