Shontel Brown. “A true testament to bipartisan cooperation, this legislation will strengthen vital support systems such as Medicaid in vulnerable areas, assist working families with rent and mortgage payments, combat rising kitchen table costs, increase service members’ pay, and improve veterans' healthcare.” “These investments will build on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the PACT Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act to revitalize our country’s economy, lower costs for Ohioans, and secure community-focused funding in our district.” In addition to $23 million for community projects in Ohio, Rep. Brown secured five report language priorities together with Appropriations Committee Members Rep. Kaptur (OH-09) and Rep. Grace Meng (NY-06) to boost local agricultural procurement, address harmful algal blooms, and improve and encourage innovation in crucial child nutrition programs. The Fiscal Year 2023 government funding package also provides $10 million to jump-start the repair process for the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse. Earlier this year, Rep.
