We are proud to have them in Arizona’s Ninth Congressional District.”Goodwill of Central Arizona operates more than 70 stores and donation centers and 19 Goodwill career centers. They are also an Arizona Veteran Supportive Employer (AVSE). AVSEs are Arizona businesses and organizations committed to recruiting, hiring, and retaining servicemembers, veterans, and military families members. Goodwill supported 2,500 Arizona veterans through employment, skills training, and housing services last year. Congresswoman Sinema invites AVSEs to her Veterans Resource Clinics to connect Arizona veterans directly with potential employers. In Congress, Congresswoman Sinema supports legislation to improve job opportunities for Arizona veterans. She cosponsored the Border Jobs for Veterans Act to recruit and hire veterans as Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at understaffed U.S. ports of entry.
