https://spano.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=2344 Rep. Spano Supports Lower Prescription Drug Costs No one should worry about the cost of getting well 2019-12-12 2019 2019-12 Republican House FL Ross Spano S001210 spano.house.gov     legacy Washington, D.C. Representative Ross Spano (Florida-15) announced his co-sponsorship of H.R. 19, theLower Costs, More Cures Act, that would make bipartisan reforms to reduce out of pocket spending, protect access to new medicines and cures, strengthen transparency, and to champion competition. Hard working Americans pay too much for the prescriptions they need, and it's time they get some relief. We need more transparency, more generic drugs, and more competition.H.R. 19 will not only lower drug costs, but will also encourage market competition so that we have opportunity to get the best medication possible at affordable prices. Lowering medical costs has been a priority since I first took office, and I will keep fighting for real change. No one should worry about the cost of getting well. H.R. 19 is a bipartisan solution that encourages innovation, caps seniors' out-of-pocket drug costs, makes insulin more affordable, cuts the cost of drug administration for Medicare beneficiaries, and stops subsidizing other developed countries' health care through stronger trade agreements. Rep. Spano has also introduced H.R. 4223, theProtecting Patients from Surprise Medical Bills Act, and he has co-sponsored H.R. 692, thePre-existing Conditions Protection Act of 2019. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
