Victoria Spartz (IN-05) introduced legislation to rename a United States Post Office in Muncie, Indiana, in honor of fallen Delaware County Sheriff’s Corporal Blake Reynolds. The legislation is cosponsored by the entire Indiana House delegation. “Blake lived as a hero through selfless service, offering his life day by day to the people he was called to protect,” said Rep. Spartz. “His faith, compassion, and commitment to serving others left a lasting impact on our community. I am grateful to my Indiana colleagues for joining me in honoring his life and ensuring his legacy of service will not be forgotten.” Corporal Blake Reynolds was a lifelong Hoosier whose life was rooted in faith, family, and service. A 2013 graduate of Delta High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ball State University and served with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office for three years, most recently as a corporal. Blake was known by those closest to him for his strong faith, joyful spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for his family, including his wife, Allison, his parents, Bruce and Melissa, and his brother, Dustin. Those qualities shaped the way he served his community—with compassion, courage, and a genuine heart for people.
