Stansbury S001218 stansbury.house.gov stansbury https://stansbury.house.gov/media/press-releases scraper "In my office, we are heavily focused on a service model driven by the needs of New Mexico and our communities, and that’s why these town halls are so important to us,”said Rep. Stansbury.“This is a great opportunity for us to hear from all of you about what you’re concerned about, what you’re thinking about, and what you think we should be prioritizing as we’re doing our work here in the district, as well as back in D.C. “Like so many New Mexicans and people across the country, I was shocked and outraged by the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade the Friday before last, and leadership in the House of Representatives is currently working to tee up a package of reproductive justice bills in the coming weeks that we will hopefully pass to codify Roe v. Wade in statute,” Rep. Stansbury continued.“However, we have already passed one of these bills, which I am proud to co-sponsor, which is the Women’s Health Protection Act, and it failed in the Senate. So in order to get these bills passed and to the President’s desk, we urgently need the Senate to pick that bill back up, to find the votes, and to break the filibuster to move that bill.” 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T18:20:25Z
