Stansbury and Takano heard from veterans about rights and disabilities for LGBTQ members of the military, restoring valor to LGBTQ members who were discharged, protections for trans members, the Camp Lejeune water contamination issues and the Major Richard Star Act. The groups in attendance were the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, American Legion, New Mexico Veterans Memorial and Veterans for Foreign Wars.
