With the passage of H.R. 1775, Stauber has now passed more stand-alone pieces of legislation through the House this Congress than any other freshman Republican or member of the Minnesota House delegation. H.R. 1775 would establish a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) taskforce to determine what improvements should be made to the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) system, which alerts pilots of potential hazards along a flight route or at a location that could affect the safety of the flight. Of the passage of H.R. 1775, Congressman Stauber stated, "Although NOTAMs contain critical safety information, they are often lengthy and difficult to understand. These inefficiencies have the potential to create life threatening situations. My legislation will ensure the continued safety of air travel by requiring that safety protocols are consistently maintained and improved upon." Stauber followed, stating, "At a time when many good initiatives are being stalled due to partisan politics and gridlock, I am especially thankful that my colleagues supported this critical legislation in a bipartisan manner. I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to achieve more bipartisan wins for Minnesota's Eighth Congressional District and the nation."
