ON THE SCHUMER SHUTDOWN: HARRIS FAULKNER: Let’s start there with this idea of the workforce, because you’re intimately involved in this issue. People are already suffering after the weekend. CHAIRWOMAN STEFANIK: People are absolutely suffering, Harris, and the reality is this is a Democrat Senate-led shutdown. This is the same bill. It’s a clean funding bill that House Republicans passed that every Republican senator voted for. Democrats own this shutdown and it’s going to have real hurt across America. I’m already hearing from my constituents, whether it’s air traffic controllers, whether it’s TSA agents, or whether it’s those on SNAP benefits who really need those lifelines.
