We also honor Lieutenant Brian Murphy who responded to the scene and was shot fifteen times. This senseless act of violence should have never occurred. Nonetheless, the Oak Creek community has come together to always remember and honor the victims of this tragedy. I join the Oak Creek community in remembering the victims and thank each of my colleagues for supporting my resolution to honor the horrific attack in Oak Creek ten years ago,” said Steil. Cosponsors of the resolution include Representatives Mark Pocan (WI-02), Ron Kind (WI-03), Gwen Moore (WI-04), Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05), Glenn Grothman (WI-06), Tom Tiffany (WI-07), and Mike Gallagher (WI-08). Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) introduced a companion resolution in the U.S. Senate.
