Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) has awarded the PACT Coalition for Safe and Drug Free Communities $125,000 in Fiscal Year 2022 Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program Continuation Grant Award funding. The objective of the DFC program is to mobilize communities to prevent youth substance abuse. "It is critical that we continue to invest in efforts to combat substance abuse in our communities," said Rep. Lee. "I'm proud to have played a key role in expanding the Drug-Free Communities Program, and I look forward to this funding having a positive impact on southern Nevada's youth." "This funding will help us increase prevention programming by empowering youth to determine the prevention they want to engage in with a sense of agency in their own lives and increase collaboration among community partners to decrease substance abuse in Southern Nevada," said Jamie Ross, Executive Director, PACT Coalition for Safe and Drug Free Communities. "We are thankful to Congresswoman Lee for her continued advocacy to reduce substance abuse in our communities." In her position on the House Appropriations Committee, Rep. Lee has consistently fought to strengthen the Drug-Free Communities Program during the annual appropriations process. In fiscal year 2022, Rep. Lee secured an increase of $8 million for the Drug-Free Communities Program to help prevent youth drug use. Previously, Rep.
