The total expected funding from the program over the full five-year period is more than $50 million. “Southern Nevada students deserve access to a high-quality education and opportunities to succeed,” said Congresswoman Susie Lee. “This funding will help increase access to those opportunities for thousands of Nevada families. I spent my career working with students to help them achieve their highest potential, and I’m always ready to ensure our schools and kids get the resources they need from Washington.” Lee co-signed a letter of support for Opportunity 180, which partners with local schools to launch, sustain, or replicate successful schools and increase access to a high-quality education. This federal investment will increase the number of high-quality public charter schools serving high-need communities and educationally disadvantaged student populations. It will also continue to strengthen Nevada’s public education system and bolster student success. Before coming to Congress, Lee spent two decades leading education non-profits – reducing dropout rates and making sure our kids had the wrap-around services they needed to thrive. ### 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T19:32:54Z
