Lee Announces Nearly $1.4 Million Grant to Improve, Protect Nevadas Water Quality 2020-12-03 2020 2020-12 Democrat House NV Susie Lee L000590 susielee.house.gov     legacy Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) $1,395,000 to implement Nevada's recently approved Nonpoint Source State (NPS) Management Plan. Rainfall moving over the ground causes nonpoint source pollution, leading to runoff that picks up natural and man-made pollutants as it flows. "Every Nevadan knows how precious water management is in our state," said Rep. Lee. "This federal grant will improve water management and reduce pollution in Nevada's waterways, something that needs to be a consistent priority. This grant is one of many things that can protect our waterways, public lands, and health. I'll continue to work day and night to ensure our state has the support it needs from our federal government."
