This federal grant will help improve access to transportation for Nevadans in low-income communities and rural areas,said Rep. Lee.The sad reality is thatmany Nevadansdon't have adequate access to public transportationbecause of where they live.It's up to us tochangethat.This grantis one of many things thatcan improve access to transportation for all Nevadans.I'll continue to work day and night to ensure our state has the support it needs from our federal government. We know that many of our transit riders rely solely on public transportation for access to basic necessities, including food, work, medical, and social services, said MJ Maynard, CEO of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada. As an agency, we are committed, particularly during these difficult times, to ensuring that mobility options are available for those individuals and families in low-income and historically underserved areas of our community.
