Lee.Along with strengthening our national defense at home and abroad, this bill also includes a well-deservedthreepercent pay raise for all servicemembersand a version of my Newborn Care Improvement Act to expand maternal health care for new veteran families. Most importantlyfor Nevada, I and therest of theNevada delegation secured a status quo extension of the Nevada Test and Training Range.Thisextensionsupportsour military andjobs for Nevada servicemembers, while also preserving our publicand tribal lands across the state.These priorities make it clear that Congress will support our servicemembers, veterans, and their families both on and off the battle field. BACKGROUND:Rep. Lee co-led an amendment, which was included in the final budget, to secure astatus quo extensionof theNevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). Earlier this year, Rep. Lee helped lead discussions around a compromise to secure an extension of the NTTR thatwouldalso guaranteesprotections for tribal resources, conservation, outdoor recreation and public access, and farming and ranching. Rep.
