Rep. Sykes is the only Ohioan on the U.S. House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. “It is vital that we upkeep our rail lines to make our railroads and the communities surrounding them safer. These funds will do just that, and will even re-open several miles of rail in our region that is in need of repair. I will continue working to bring federal funding home to Ohio’s 13th Congressional District to upgrade our infrastructure, thereby bolstering our economy,” said Rep. Sykes. This money will fund the final design and construction for track rehabilitation and grade crossing improvements on the RJ Corman Cleveland line in Summit, Stark, and Tuscarawas Counties. The project will rehabilitate over 24 miles of track, including the re-establishment of service on three miles of track in eastern Ohio.
