The bill is designed to help more Americans experience the parks, monuments, and cultural sites that tell our national story. “As we prepare to celebrate 250 years of our country, families should be able to enjoy the places that define who we are,” said Rep. Sykes. “Northeast Ohio has some incredible sites, and this bill helps make them even more accessible for everyone.” The National Park Service manages more than 400 sites nationwide. The fee-free day will make it easier for families and communities to visit historic, cultural, and natural landmarks during this major milestone year. In Ohio’s 13th Congressional District, the STARS Act will support access and tourism at regional destinations including Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, the First Ladies National Historic Site and Museum, and the Akron Zoo.
