This bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 427-1. “The American people deserve transparency about the wretched tragedies that occurred at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates,” said Congressman Taylor. “It is important to note that there are uncertainties surrounding the security of victims’ information in this legislation’s current form, but it is a transparent first step toward holding the perpetrators accountable. Whereas Democrats sat on this information for the past four years, Republicans are bringing it into the light to ensure justice for victims, and I was proud to vote to release the Epstein files today.” Specifically, this bill will: Require the Department of Justice (DOJ) to publish all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials within its possession pertaining to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein, including: Materials related to Ghislaine Maxwell; Flight logs and travel records, and; Individuals named or referenced, including government officials, connected to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein.
