This legislation would redesignate the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to protect and enhance the security and resilience of critical infrastructure. “Cyberspace is the new frontier for conflict in the 21st Century,” said Congressman Scott Taylor. “America must be properly equipped to keep pace with the changing landscape and respond to threats against our citizens, our military, and infrastructure. Earlier this year, I introduced a resolution calling for the United States to develop a comprehensive cybersecurity policy, which I believe is crucial to guiding our cyber efforts.
