As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Tenney can nominate a select number of candidates to the Service Academies each year. A panel of local community leaders and veterans selected the 16 students to be nominated based on their academic success, exceptional character, and commitment to community service. “Every year I am in awe of the outstanding talent, dedication, and character of our students here in NY-24,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “As the parent of a Naval Academy graduate who is actively serving in the Marines, I know how challenging this process is can be. The hard work and devotion to service is evident in the applications we received.
