Three Democrats joined House Republicans in their bipartisan opposition. The resolution, including two articles of impeachment, will now make its way to the Senate for a trial. Upon conclusion of the House vote, Congressman Glenn ‘GT' Thompson issued a statement: "This vote was a political stunt aimed at reversing the votes of 63 million Americans who put the President in office. I voted with a resounding "NO." I applaud the three Democrats who joined a united Republican conference in opposition. I continue to warn others that scoring cheap political points is not worth leaving a lasting stain on this institution. They need to understand the American public is tired of the games and want real results out of Washington." | 1 | 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z | 2026-06-27T23:45:33Z |
