This Resolution passed the House with bipartisan support. “Sexual harassment in the House of Representatives, or in any workplace, is absolutely unacceptable,” said Tipton. “Everyone has the right to work in an environment free from harassment or discrimination. Requiring training for Members and staff is a good first step to creating a safe and healthy workplace. We will continue to look for additional legislative options to end harassment, make those who perpetuate it fully accountable for their actions, and ensure victims are able to come forward without fear of retribution. H.Res. 630 will require that for the current 115th Congress, each individual must complete training no later than 180 days after the second session of Congress begins. It will mandate that all House Members, employees, including interns and fellows, complete an annual anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training program during each session of Congress. Additionally, this Resolution also requires that a statement of rights and protections for employees of the House of Representative be posted under the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995. The Committee on House Administration is currently conducting a review on harassment in Congress. The first hearing on this issue was held November 14, 2017, and a second hearing is scheduled for December 7, 2017, to examine potential reforms to the Congressional Accountability Act.      # # # 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
