Staff will be on-site to help residents navigate federal agencies and programs, including SNAP and other benefit applications. Staff can also provide guidance on replacing lost or damaged federal documents, such as U.S. Passports and Social Security cards. This outreach builds on recent support efforts in Waialua and Laie, where Tokuda’s team provided on-the-ground casework and disaster relief assistance for storm-impacted residents. Families recovering from the March 2026 Kona Low storms are reminded that a federal waiver currently allows SNAP households to purchase hot or prepared foods through May 16, 2026.
