Rosario Pichardo 2021-10-26 2021 2021-10 Democrat House MA Lori Trahan T000482 trahan.house.gov trahan https://trahan.house.gov/news/documentquery.aspx?DocumentTypeID=27 scraper LOWELL, MA – Last night, Congresswoman Lori Trahan (MA-03) joined with her colleagues in the House of Representatives to unanimously pass bipartisan legislation she cosponsored to posthumously award a Congressional Gold Medal to the 13 U.S. servicemembers killed in an August bombing at the Hamid Karzai Airport in Kabul, including Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo of Lawrence. “We feel Sgt. Johanny Rosario Pichardo's absence in Lawrence and across the Third District every day,” said Congresswoman Trahan. “There is no one more deserving of this distinction than Johanny and her fellow servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice so thousands of Americans and our Afghan allies could get to safety. I’m grateful to my colleagues for joining with me to unanimously honor their heroic service.” The measure passed yesterday was cosponsored by 325 members of the House from both parties. It now moves to the Senate where a similar bipartisan measure has been introduced by Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Steve Daines (R-MT). ### 1 2026-04-06T14:24:52Z 2026-04-06T15:53:59Z
