Its time President Obama puts the security of our nation ahead of his plans for Syrian resettlement and passage of the SAFE Act today is the first step, said Rep. The bipartisan SAFE Act pauses admission of refugees from Iraq and Syria, requires an extensive background check for every refugee, and a certification that each is not a threat to the security of the United States.
