Valadao (CA-22) released the following statement after he was elected to serve as the Chairman of the Republican Governance Group (RG2). He succeeds Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14), who has led the group since 2022. Rep. Valadao has been an active member throughout his time in Congress and will lead RG2 as Congress continues to address the most pressing challenges facing the nation. “I’m honored to have been elected as the next Chairman of RG2 and am grateful for my colleagues’ trust and support,” said Congressman Valadao. “RG2 has consistently stood for effective and commonsense policy solutions, and I’m excited to continue this tradition as we work together to address the critical challenges facing our nation. I also want to express my gratitude to Congressman Dave Joyce for his exceptional leadership and the groundwork he’s laid for RG2’s continued success. I look forward to building on RG2’s legacy in the 119th Congress and delivering results for the American people.” RG2 is a coalition of Republican House Members committed to finding solutions through pragmatic and responsible policy-making. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z | 2026-04-07T22:13:55Z |
