Beginning in 2026, this funding will support Wisconsin-led efforts to expand access to care, strengthen the rural health workforce, modernize facilities and technology, and keep care local for rural families, seniors, and veterans across the state. “Every American citizen should have access to readily available, high-quality, and actually affordable health care,” said Rep. Van Orden. “This $203 million investment delivers real support for rural Wisconsin hospitals, clinics, and health care workers. Republicans fought to get this done, and not one Democrat voted for it.
