Congressman Van Taylor stated, "Recognizing the importance of STEM skills is critical to our country's future. The Congressional App Challenge is an exciting way to foster interest in these critical fields and encourage students to learn more about related career paths. I can't wait to see the innovative work from students in Texas' Third Congressional District." The Congressional App Challenge is open to all U.S. high school and middle school students in Texas' Third Congressional District. Challenge participants are invited, either as individuals or in teams of up to four, to create and submit their own software app for mobile, tablet, or other computing devices on a platform of their choice. To participate, students must register online and submit their apps before 11:00 AM CST on October 19, 2020.
