I'm glad President Trump wasted no time in signing this relief funding into law. In addition, I commend the Administration for listening to the concerns of rural hospitals that are part of a health district to make them eligible for the PPP program, too. As a member ofPresident Trump's bipartisan task force on reopening the economy, I am committed to ensuring our small businesses and our health care providers have the resources they need when the governor decides it's time to safely reopenOregon, said Walden. Thelegislation, whichWalden voted foronThursday, refillsthe Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The billincludes $310 billion for the PPP,$50 billion for Economic Injury Disaster Loanprogram,$10 billion fortheEIDL advance/grant program,$75 billion for hospitals/health careproviders, and $25 billion for testing. The PPP has reached over1.6 million small businesses, nonprofits, veterans' organizations, tribal businesses, sole proprietors, and independent contractors. A majority of the loans(74%)were under$150,000,which demonstrates that even the smallest businesses were able to access the program. Walden spoke on the House Floor about the legislation, watch his remarkshere. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
