Today, the House took a step in the right direction by passing a budget plan with bipartisan support. This deal is not perfect, but it serves as a building block for deficit reduction and long term reformswithout raising taxes. Approval of this plan will provide much-needed certainty for the business community and improve economic outlook. Without a doubt, there is still much work to be done to balance the budget, reduce government spending, and address tax reform.
